Description

Packet Pickup:  5-7pm, March 23, 2023 at the Loveland Center, 4075 Tamiami Trl, Port Charlotte, FL  33952

Race Day Packet Pickup:  6:30 - 7:30 a.m., Laishley Park Pavilion. 

Race Day Registration:  6:30 - 7:30 a.m., Laishley Park Pavilion.  Race day cost is: $30.00

Parking:  Park in Laishley parking lot in front of Laishley Crab House. 

Course:  Starts at Laishley Park, onto the Harborwalk, past Gilcrest Park and back.  Please be mindful of others using Harborwalk during the race.  

Start Times:  5K @ 8:00 a.m., 1K Walk @ 8:15 a.m. 

Sign up by March 1, 2023 and receive a FREE race t-shirt! Space is limited, so sign up early and help support the children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities we serve at Loveland Center Charlotte County!  

All Runners will receive:

  • FREE race t-shirt (sign up by MARCH 1st to receive your FREE shirt!)
  • participation medal
  • Snacks and Water
  • Compete for Gold, Silver, and Bronze in these  "Ability 5K Run" Categories:
  • Both Men's and Women's age brackets: 12-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
  • Over All Men's and Women's: Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Master, Veterans

Those taking part in the "Ability 1K Fun Walk" will not receive a bib and will not be timed.  The walk will go around Laishley Park area on the sidewalk.

ADD ONS:

-Enter our raffle to win a "tour of Charlotte County" featuring local attractions and shops.

All proceeds will benefit Loveland Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that provides support services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Charlotte County. Loveland offers the opportunity for individuals with I/DD to be seen as equals in their community through the acquisition of independent life skills and visibility in their community. They deserve "Equality through Opportunity" to reach personal goals, just like you and me!
