Description

Join us for Saint Johns County Family 5k race at beautiful Beacon Lake

These events are Free for kids aged 10 and younger and only $15 for those ages 18 and under.  Sign up the family as limited space available. This race benefits Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind ( see below)  

 

The race is in the beautiful new neighborhood at Beacon Lake. Race will start at the Beacon Lake Amenity Center. The race starts at 9:00 am Saturday March 27th. 

Course Map here - 5k uses 2 loops 

This event will be professionally chipped timed 3.1 mile race and 1.55 mile race by Florida Race Day. All participants will get a finishers medal and free downloadable finisher photo. 

All paid participants will also receive 

  • Either a Florida Race Day Ceramic Coffee Mug, Pint Glass, or Reusable Sports Bottle 
  • Florida Race Day Sports Towel

5k Race will be awarding the fastest overall male and females and top runners in the age groups 13 and under, 14 - 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59. 60-69 and aged 70 and older.

We will also be awarding the Fastest 5k Family - Form a family team ( of at least 3 runners) - The fastest average of those first 3 finishers on family team - win fastest family award 

Packet Pick up will be race morning between 7:45 and 8:30 am at race start

A portion of the proceeds of the race will be donated to the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) Blind Department Class of 2024. Proceeds will help fund the Class of 2024 events and initiatives.

About FSDB

Based in St. Augustine, FSDB is recognized as one of the top schools for the deaf and blind in the nation and the only one of its kind in Florida.  FSDB is a fully accredited, tuition-free state public school for eligible Pre-K and K-12 students who are deaf/hard of hearing, blind/visually impaired, or deafblind.  The school serves approximately 975+ students each year through statewide parent-infant/family programs as well as a Montessori Pre-K early learning center and K-12 elementary, middle, and high schools on its campus.
