Description
Great Potluck Bash 4 Mile Prediction Run No Watches - No Stress
This race is a prediction run. We will recognize the runners who complete the course in the time closest to their predicted time. So you can't wear a watch and there won't be a clock visible at the finish line.
What it is all About
The Chenoweth Fund was established in 1988 to promote the efforts of runners and triathletes in the Big Bend area with a heavy interest in youth running. Since its creation, the Fund has provided assistance on 210 occasions to competitors in an amount of over $150,113. For more information visit our website. In recent years awards have helped sponsor the Middle School State Qualifier Meet, FACA All-Star Cross Country Meet, and various high school cross country teams. The Fund has also assisted athletes with travel expenses to national level competitions, running camps and the purchase of team uniforms and club fees.
The Pot Luck Bash gives us time to recognize the outstanding track and field and cross country high school runners in the Big Bend area.
Course
The course will be on the Phipps Property Trails and is approximately 4 miles. It is hilly terrain, but beautiful scenery. The Phipps property is 668 acres, much of it beautiful forest managed by the City of Tallahassee. You will enjoy it! Meet in the Forest Meadows parking lot to start.
What You Get
Fun! Maybe a token acknowledgment for running, no serious awards, no fluff. You get the satisfaction of supporting a great cause.
All registered participants will receive a raffle ticket when they pick up their race bibs. Additional tickets may be purchased at registration and packet pickup.
