Come and enjoy this new race on the Firefly Trail that supports Dirt Road Doggies Rescue.
From ditches to riches, our rescues are dreaming of the day their forever family finds them.
Dirt Road Doggies is a passionate, non-profit canine rescue group in Northeast Georgia working tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, fully vet, and rehome faithful dogs that society has failed.
Pounding for Paws will also be donating half of the proceeds and dog food from this event to shelters in North Carolina for hurricane relief.
2025 FIREFLY TRAIL RACE SERIES
This race is a new addition to the Firefly Trail Race Series. Click HERE for more information about all the great races on the series. By registering for the 2025 Spring Firefly Trail Race Series you get three great races including Pounding for Paws at a discounted price.
Registration Fees
Cost is $25 and 1 bag of dog or cat food prior to 2/17/2025, and $30 plus 1 bag of dog or cat food afterwards and through race day. Registration will be available on race day.
Pet Food Collection
Part of the registration fee is a request to bring a bag of food for dogs or cats. You may also bring a bag of kitty litter. There will be a designated area in the parking lot where you can drop off the food.
One of the biggest needs of Dirt Road Doggies Rescue is dog and cat food. Your registration contribution is certainly appreciated!

The Pounding for Paws t-shirt will be a runner favorite! If you want to receive one of these great t-shirts registration must be received by February 17, 2025. After February 17, 2025 t-shirts will not be guaranteed.
Course
This is an out and back along the beautiful Firefly Trail. Start and finish are located in Dudley Park.
Virtual Option
Run your 3.1 miles any day between Saturday, February 17 and Saturday, March 8 at 12 noon. Submit your finish time using the RESULTS TAB at the top of the On-line registration page. Finish times must be submitted no later than Saturday, March 8 12 noon. Virtual runners are not eligible for t-shirts or race day awards.
Awards
Overall M/F, Masters M/F, Grand Masters M/F, Senior Grand Masters M/F and top three M/F runners in 5 year age groups beginning at 10 and under through 80 and over.

What if it Rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
