RaceWorks presents to you The Georgia XC Summer Challenge. 

First, we hope you and your families are safe and well during this time. Second, we know everyone lost this last track season and the threat of coronavirus looms over cross country season this fall.  We want to bring Georgia's runners together for some fun friendly competition and help everyone get ready and hopeful for a season full of PR's, virtually for now. We are bringing to you a challenge to get out and stay fit while social distancing this summer with some virtual competition through your summer mileage training.  You can run anywhere you want, inside or outside as long as you log the miles. You do not have to run each day, you just have to finish the total distance to earn your shirt (you can also go above and beyond!) between June 1st and August 13th. That is 10 weeks (70 days) at right at 50 miles per week or just over 7 miles per day. You will be sent a reminder each day to log your distances as well as daily updates with your location and cumulative distanced logged.  We will have a live leader board at the RESULTS page for you to see how you place among the other participants daily!  We ask that you tag any of your photos with the #GAsummerXC so we can follow along!

All Participants will receive a GA 500 MILE CLUB shirt by mail via USPS at the conclusion of the competition to wear with pride this Fall! Made in the USA!  All mileage must be submitted at your personal results page each day or each time you complete a daily mileage (you can enter mileage from previous days or whatever is convenient for you). Your mileage is up to you to record and is on the honor system.

**Disclaimer: Consult your coach for any training guidelines and to prevent injury. Please do not run on unsafe roads, or areas that have been closed off to the public.  Practice social distancing and any other requirements set forth by local, state and federal guidelines. The interstates and highways are not open for pedestrian traffic, this is a virtual run only, please do not gather as a crowd in any 1 location at the same time.

Our Charity

Make a difference in your community!   Many Georgians have been affected by the current pandemic. Hunger can affect people from all walks of life. Many Georgians are one job loss or medical crisis away from food insecurity – but some people, including children, seniors, and rural Georgians – are at greatest risk. All proceeds from this challenge will benefit the Georgia Food Bank Association, a 501(c)3 organization comprised of seven regional food banks working to end hunger in their local communities.

  2. Check your confirmation email or your RunSignUp account page to get your custom link. It will also ask you to share your link when completing registration.
  3. Share your link with the world!

HOW TO LOG YOUR MILES

You will be logging your miles directly into the RunSignUp System.  You will get an email with instructions for you to upload directly.  If you do not get the email, you can follow the below instructions.  If you are having any trouble, please contact: events@runnersfit.com

Now you can log activities directly from your individual results page (Click Here then search for your name and bookmark your individual page) using the "Log Activities" button in the top section.

Once on the Log Activities page you can submit your New Activity.  Simply enter the date (you can do past days, and multiple submissions on the same date or all at once, this is up to you!), your mileage, and if you would like your time and any comments you may want to look back on. Just remember to SUBMIT ACTIVITY!  To edit previous activities, click on Manage Activities.

***Additionally - if you are not logged in you will be able to log results for a person if you know the email address or last four digits of their phone number. If you want your submissions to be more secure you can check the box for: Only allow me to post results when logged in as ________
