Gatorfest Augusta

Gatorfest Augusta is an open water swim event in the Savannah River that navigates the waters between the shores of South Carolina and Georgia. The race has two distance options. The first option is a 3.4 mile swim starting at the North Augusta Riverview Park boat ramp in North Augusta SC. The second option is a 1.2 mile swim that begins at the Augusta Riverfront Marina in Augusta GA.  Both swims finish at the Boathouse Community Center in Augusta GA. 

Gatorfest Augusta is a timed open water swim race and will have classes for civilian, active duty military, and physically challenged swimmers. 

Gatorfest Augusta provides athletes with a high level athletic experience at two swim distances while increasing awareness of the Savannah River and her keepers. The Savannah Riverkeeper is the benefactor of this event and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Savannah Riverkeeper.

The Savannah Riverkeeper is a 501c(3) non-profit organization funded by individuals and foundations that share their commitment to creating a clean and healthy river that sustains life and is cherished by its people. The Savannah Riverkeeper works to restore the quality of the river, protect the people and ecosystems that rely on it, and educate the public about their right to clean water. The donation from this race supports their mission of serving as the primary guardian of the Savannah River striving to respect, protect, and improve the entire river basin through education, advocacy, and action.
