5 to Thrive 5K & Kids Fun Run

DESCRIPTION
Please plan to join us for this very special year three road race designed to benefit FIVE unique and different Charities!  The 3rd annual “5 to Thrive” Charity Event will take place Saturday evening, September 30th 2023 in a new location - DOWNTOWN CARTERSVILLE!!!  We are thrilled to announce a partnership with Drowned Valley Brewing Company who will host the Race Staging and Start/Finish Areas for the Race!  The 5K Race time is still 6:30 PM but the party will start at 4:00 PM with Sponsors, Face Painting, a Kids Zone, and the tunes jamin' all located on the green space behind Drowned Valley Brewing located on E. Cherokee Ave. in Downtown Cartersville!    All leading up to the 5K & Fun Run starting at 6:00 PM!  

And...as an added bonus... ALL Adults age 21 and up will receive 1 drink from Drowned Valley if you are registered for the 5K! 

Proceeds will benefit the Dancers Against Cancer Charity along with additional monetary donations to families that have been affected by cancer. But there’s more! If YOU would like to nominate a family or an organization to be a recipient of proceeds from this event, please email dancewithfusion@gmail.com!  

This unique event being presented by Fusion Dance Company of Cartersville!

Registration:
*$25 Pre-Race Registration Fee (Runs until 11:00 PM, Monday evening, September 25th.  You must register by this date to guarantee your T-shirt size and lock in at the reduced rate!) 
*$35 Race Day Registration Fee 

5K Start-Finish & Race Day Parking:
*Both the Start and Finish Line(s) will be located on E. Cherokee Ave. adjacent to Drowned Valley Brewing Co. (Address is 4 South Tennessee St., Cartersville, GA 30120.)  The Race "Staging" area will be located on the green space directly behind the Brewery.  

Race & Event Parking is located on the surface streets surrounding the Brewery as well as in the Downtown Cartersville.  
PLEASE NOTE: The Block BEHIND Drowned Valley where the race staging and Start/Finish Lines are located will be closed for Parking during the event! 

Race Route (See attached Route Map):
Runners will utilize the surface streets behind the Brewery as well as those just North of Church St. in Downtown Cartersville. This is a new route that is very flat and VERY fast! 

Race Day Schedule of Events:
*4:00 PM Event Opens: Dance Performances, Sponsors, Kids Zone, & Entertainment!  
*4:30 PM Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-Up Opens
*6:00 Fun Run Start Time 
*6:30 PM 5K Start Time
*7:30 PM Awards

Pre-Race Packet Pick-up for those pre-registered:
Pre-Race Packet Pick-up will be held Friday September 29th from 4:00-8:00 PM in front of Drowned Valley Brewing Company located at 4 South Tennessee St., Cartersville, GA 30120.

Awards:
Awards will be given to the following: 
*Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female Winners
*Top Masters Male and Top Masters Female Winners
*Top 3 Male & Female in the following Age Categories: 10-Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over
