NOGAWILD Safari Run/Walk

5k(ish) NOGAWILD Safari Fun Run/Walk

Join us for a one-of-a-kind family-friendly run/walk through the parks. Where you will get to run/walk by 100s of animals from antelope, penguins, camel, zebra, kangaroos, and more! Join us in this fun-run fundraising event to help support Creation Encounters. You can learn more about this amazing non-profit here. Check in is at 7:30 am. Run starts at 8:30 am. Course closes at 10 am. The Wildlife Park trail closes at 9:30.  This is only part of the very first mile of the course. This allows the Wildlife Park to open for guests at 10am.

Raffle and giveaway immediately follow the Safari Run at ~10:15. Competitive male and female Challenge Course winners will also be awarded(more about the Challenge Course below!). Each participant will receive one free raffle ticket. Others can be purchased. Must be present for the raffle to win. 

We have added a new challenge course competitor option! There is no additional charge for the challenger course competition. Let us know if you want to participate in the competition by emailing myfavoritezoo@gmail.com before Saturday! The Challenge Course is completely optional. 

The challenger course will include 2 loops through the petting farm and wildlife park, one lap through the Safari Park, and a loop through the woods(almost a full mile!). Second-wave runners may opt to go into the woods or do another loop around the safari. The challenger course will also include, but not limited to, these challenges for extra fun:

 ◦ Feed bag carry

 ◦ Sneaky Lunges across the bridge

 ◦ Spider web crawl

 ◦ Tunnel like a groundhog (through a tunnel)

 ◦ Tire pull

 ◦ Penguin waddle (carry nesting material between your calves without dropping 

 ◦ Zookeeper problems (choose 5 items from the start line and carry them all at one time without dropping.  Items such as hose, carrier, water bucket, egg

 ◦ It’s all backward! (run backwards to mark)

 ◦ Balance beam cross
