Description
Join us for the 2nd Annual Ryan's Run, Ride, Walk & Stroll 5k! This year we will have an in-person 5k in Eatonton, GA, on Saturday, November 6. Start time is 8:00am, and there will be snacks, music, and games at the finish line.
For those who can't make it to the event in person, there is a Virtual Ryan's Run, Ride, Walk & Stroll 5K during the week leading up to the in-person event. Run, walk, ride, or stroll your 5K from anywhere in the world beginning on October 29, during Learning Disabilities Awareness Month. All proceeds will benefit Ryan's Gift of Advocacy, a Georgia-based 501c3 nonprofit that benefits children experiencing homelessness and children with learning disabilities through advocacy.
As many as 162,884 children in Georgia have been diagnosed with a disability and more than 45,000 children experience homelessness in Georgia. You can make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities and those experiencing homelessness. Lets help their families by registering for the Ryan's Run/Walk for learning disabilities. Registration is $20 for children and youth and $45 for adults, but you can donate any additional amount using the "DONATE" button. You can register and complete your virtual 5k anytime during the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 6. Walk. Run. Ride. Stroll. Go at your own pace. You can make an even bigger impact by recruiting family members, friends, and co-workers to form a team and raise donations. Now is the time to start! When you finish your virtual self-paced 5K, upload your results here on RunSignUp. There will be t-shirts and medals for those who complete the 5K in person on November 6.
Proceeds from the Virtual 5k Run/Walk for Ryan's Run will fund advocacy and scholarship programs serving people in and across the spectrum throughout their lifespans. Everyone knows someone affected by a learning disability or homelessness — maybe your brother, cousin, friend at school, neighbor, or co-worker. Join others around the world in October 2020 to make a difference in the life of someone you care about with disabilities. You can help.
