Due to COVID19, we will only have the 5K Distance available Race Day.
Two weeks before Thanksgiving in 2011 we decided that we wanted to give back to all the participants who came out to race with us over the course of the year. Thanksgiving morning seemed to be the perfect time, and giving them a FREE race would be the perfect way to say Thanks! We're continuing that tradition...If you've crossed under our finish line in any race from Dec. 1, 2019 - Nov. 14, 2020 you've earned yourself a FREE spot in any of the races. (Please note that running the Turkey Trot last year doe not qualify for a free entry.)
If you haven't crossed under our finish line this year...that's OK too...You can still come out and join us...it's just $17.
New for 2018
We've spent a lot of time looking at every aspect of the event, and we've made some changes to make everything run even better.
Easy Options for registration...Choose what you want to take home.
Early packet pickup for Thanksgiving Day race...We've got a couple. See page for more info.
New electronic race day registration...everyone is put into the timing software as they register.
Hoodies...in addition to a long sleeve tech OR cotton shirt...you can take home a hoodie.
Start/Finish and course modification. We're going to be in the same area, but we'll be set up a little different so there won't be any crossing the course to get to your car.
We'll be counting and timing your laps.
We have a number of distances to choose from:
Virtual 5K (race when & where you want)
Virtual 10K (race when & where you want)
Virtual 15K (race when & where you want)
Virtual Half Marathon (race when & where you want)
All the events are $17.
Race Day is just $20.
If you've raced with us between 12/1/2019 - 11/14/2020 then your entry fee is FREE. Note, running last year's Turkey Trot does not count towards a free entry.
MS is something that is close to our hearts here at Five Star NTP, so this event will benefit The MS Center of Atlanta.
You can join in by either making a donation, or becoming a fundraiser yourself. Anyone who raises $200 or more will be refunded their entry fee, and anyone who raises $500 or more will also receive a coupon for $25 off any future race event.
It's a great course...The course is fairly flat...but it's North Georgia, so NOTHING is completely flat.
It's a 5K loop, so if you're running with your friends who want to run further, you'll be able to run together for the first part, and they'll take off and finish up on their own.
The further you go, the more loops you'll do. We'll have loads of entertainment along the way, so you won't event realize it's multiple laps. You'll need to finish in 3 hours (we'll keep the clock going till the last finisher comes in, but the police & aid stations will be leaving). That's a 13:45 avg pace.
Yes...we'll have finisher medals, and you'll be able to get one it you want one for just $7!
Each race (5K, 10K, 15K, Half Marathon) will have awards for the Top 3 finishers M/F and the Top 3 Masters Finishers M/F. These awards will be based on Gun Time.
Age Group Awards
Each race will have awards to the top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups (10 & under - 75+). These awards will be based on Chip Time.
Grab your buddies, co-workers, family, or random strangers and put a team together to come out, dress up and have a good time!
Best dressed team will win a prize!

Then the virtual race is for YOU!
Here's how it works:
1. Register for the Virtual division & Start Training
2. Run anytime between now and the end of race day and use the link to submit your time here.
3. Submit your race time by end of Sunday
4. The Monday after the race, results (Virtual Runner division) will be posted online
5. Monday after the race you'll receive an email with a link to the results & any pictures.
6. Monday after the race we'll package up all the T-shirts, any medals, and put them in the mail.
We'll have Long sleeve tech shirts ($15), Long sleeve cotton ($15), and we'll be getting hoodies ($20) too this year. Just pick out what you want, and we'll get you squared away.
It is our goal to NOT put an event cap in place...however, about 1 month prior we will need to order finisher medals. At that point, we will not be able to guarantee finisher awards to registrations coming afterwards. SO...Register early.
We'll have plenty of goodies to start your day off right. We're even working on getting some vendors to come out so stay tuned. As for the awards ceremony, it's Thanksgiving, and in the interest of time, we'll be doing awards as follows.

We have several Bib/Packet pickup options available for you.
1. Bib Mail Out...for $3.00 (Non-refundable) you can have your bib mailed straight to your front door. We'll be sending them out on Thursday the week before, and you can sleep in a few extra minutes on race morning...just show up with enough time to get in the start coral. Once you finish, you can pick up your shirt and any goodies that might also be included.
2. Early Packet pickup. TBA
3. Race Day Pickup...Check in opens at 6:30 am on race morning. Be sure to arrive closer to 7:00 am than 8:00 am. We'll get you your bib, and then after you cross the finish line you can get your shirt and any goodies.
Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals.
