Welcome fall racing season with the inaugural Run the Mill 5k – Healan/Head Mill on September 15, 2018! Join us for this charity fundraising event to support the efforts to preserve history and celebrate the heritage of an 1850’s gristmill in north Hall County, Located in Lula, the Healan/Head Mill is 1 hour north of Atlanta, Georgia. The Healan/Head Mill is a rare treasure where citizens and government officials are working together to complete the restoration of the mill. Progress is made as funds become available. The race will start at 8:30 a.m. at the Healan/Head Mill and finish at North Georgia Canopy Tours.
Park at North Georgia Canopy Tours (5290 Harris Road Lula, Ga 30554) and ride a 10 minute shuttle to the start. Be parked and ready to go no later than 8:00 a.m. to catch the last shuttle to the start!
Registration packets can be picked up near the parking area.
The course will be on a combination of paved and dirt roads, a straight route (only one turn) with no switch backs or loops. Dogs and strollers not recommended due to rough terrain and hills.
Prizes will be provided for top male and top female finisher. Prizes will include canopy tours and more. All participants will receive a climacool shirt and after race snacks as part of their goody bag.
