Join us for the second annual Rotary Club of Peachtree City Half Marathon & 5k, presented by BMW of South Atlanta , on January 18, 2025. The tree lined golf cart paths of our planned community are an ideal setting for runners of all levels and abilities. Greenspace, lakes, and wildlife mark this family friendly, fitness oasis, just a short drive south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. 

5k and Half Marathon courses are USATF certified and the 5k is a qualifying event for the 2025 AJC Peachtree Road Race.

Your participation will help the Rotary Club of Peachtree City continue making a positive impact and contributing locally and globally to improve lives, eradicate disease, provide essential resources, and increase access to education. We accomplish this through grants to local nonprofits and internationally through the Rotary Foundation. Our Rotary club members provide hands-on service with partner organizations throughout the year, including hosting the Rotary Grand Prix 5k Series, to serve17 local elementary school fundraisers in an effort to promote fitness and reduce childhood obesity.

HALF MARATHON (USATF Certified Course)

Start Time: 8:00am
Time Limit: 4 hours, cut-off 12:00pm
Course: Approximately 1.2 miles on paved road and 11.9 miles on rolling, paved golf cart paths.
Minimum Age: 14 years of age on race day
Pace groups: To be announced

5K (USATF Certified Course and 2025 AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier)

Start Time: 8:15am
Time Limit: 1 hour, cut-off 9:15am
Course: 0.9 miles of paved street, 2.2 miles of paved, rolling golf cart paths
Minimum Age: 6 years of age on race day

RACE TIMING

In partnership with Wire2wire Running, Half Marathon and 5K runners will be timed from start to finish via a disposable timing chip on their race bib provided in race packets. 

PACKET PICK-UP: 

AT: FLEET FEET – DECATUR, 431 W Ponce de Leon Ave #1, Decatur, GA 30030 (Only if this location selected when registering by December 21, 2024)

ON: Tuesday, January 14 – Thursday, January 16, 2025, see store hours

AT: (The Fred) Frederick Brown Jr Amphitheater, 201 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City, GA US 30269

ON: Friday, January 17, 2025,  4:00-8:00pm, packet pick-up and in-person registration
OR, ON: Saturday, January 18, 2025, 6:30-7:45am, race day packet pick-up and in-person registration 

RACE SHIRTS

Half marathon and 5k participants receive a shirt based on size indicated in their online registration. In-person runners' race shirts may be received during packet pick-up. Size exchanges not guaranteed. 

RACECOURSE SUPPORT:

• Heated Tent - take the chill off pre/post race in the Expo area 
• Restrooms – Port-o-lets available at Expo/finish area before/after race, and selectively on race course
• Water Stations – Water & Gatorade provided at water stations on course
• Lead Bikes – lead bikers will guide front of race runners in 5k & Half Marathon; courses are supported by stationary and roving marshals
• Pacers - To be announced for Half Marathon 
• Medical – EMT’s on bikes will be patrolling the course and basic first aid is available at finish area
• Finish Area - Water, Gatorade, Fruit, & Snacks (free to runners); also for-sale food & beverages in the Vendor Expo

HALF MARATHON & 5K FINISHER MEDALS

All registered runners who complete the half marathon & 5k will receive a unique finisher’s medal immediately after finishing the race.

AWARDS

Award recipients will be announced during the awards ceremony adjacent to finish area. Awards must be claimed during the ceremony and will not be mailed to recipients.

Top Finisher Awards
Half Marathon and 5K awards for overall top 3 Male and Female finishers in Open and Masters' categories for all races.                                                                

Age Group Awards
Half Marathon awards for top three Male and Female finishers in the following age groups:
14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and over.

5K awards for top three Male and Female finishers in the following age groups:
10 & under (5K only), 11-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

DOGS & STROLLERS

For the safety of runners, dogs and strollers are not permitted with runners on the route.

CANCELATION / WEATHER / REFUNDS

This event will be held rain or shine, warm or cold weather unless event organizers determine in conjunction with local authorities that conditions necessitate cancelation. If cancelation is necessary, no credits or refunds will be provided and registered participants for the Half and 5k distances will be transferred to the virtual editions of their distance. VIRTUAL RACES: 5K & HALF

Virtual Running: Run your race distance 5k (3.1 miles) or Half (13.1 miles) at your convenience between January 1st and February 1st of 2025.

Results (Optional): Want to make it official and track your virtual results? From January 1st to February 1st of 2025, upload your run time on the results tab of the race page or in your RunSignup account. This video will guide you on either method to upload your results. 

Shirts: Will be post marked/mailed to virtual 5k and virtual Half marathon participants by February 1st.

Medals: Will be post marked/mailed to virtual participants by February 1st.

Mailing Restrictions: Virtual shirts/medals mailed only to lower 48 states.

Awards: Virtual runners not eligible for overall, masters, or age group awards
