Description
Get energized for an in-Person and Virtual Run / Walk benefiting the AEE Foundation Educational Scholarships in energy management, energy engineering and sustainability!
Help us celebrate World Energy Efficiency Day by joining us at Technology Park in Peachtree Corners, GA, for a 5K, music, and brew. All proceeds will benefit the AEE Scholarship Program that awards scholarships to students studying energy management, energy engineering, and sustainability.
All registered participants will receive a commemorative shirt, (1) complimentary finisher pour from our host Anderby Brewing & a chance at awards! We will have awards for the Top 3 Overall M/F, Masters & 5 year Age Groups.
If you can’t make it in-person on race day, we encourage you to support the foundation by participating virtually! Run or walk when and where you want and submit your time by the end of race day.

Date: Friday, March 4th 4 PM - 7 PM @ Road Runner Sports 5275 Peachtree Pkway Ste 108, Norcross GA 30092
Race Day
Check-in will open at 7:30 AM race morning so please arrive close to 7:30 AM to ensure you have enough time to get your race packet, warmup, use the bathroom, etc.
COURSE & TIMING
It won't be flat & you'll definitely earn that brew! Come challenge yourself & finish up with a nice cold brew waiting for you at Anderby Brewing.
Course Map (same as Anderby Brewing 5K)
All participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration on course (i.e. water bottle, handheld, vest, etc.) To limit contact there will be no water station. Water will be provided at the finish.
AWARDS & GOODIES
We'll have awards in the following categories for the 5K:
- Top 3 Overall M/F
- Top 3 Overall Masters M/F
- Top 3 Overall Grand Masters M/F
- Top 3 Overall Senior Masters M/F
- Top 3 in all the regular age groups 10 & Under through 80+.
Awesome shirts guaranteed to all participants registered by 2/23. Registrations after that will receive shirts while supplies last.
All registered participants will receive (1) nice cold Finisher Pour from our host Anderby Brewing!
Virtual 5K:
Run & submit your time by end of race day 3/5/22 to get a shot at awards in the virtual event. All virtual packages will automatically ship out the Monday after race day.

VIRTUAL RUNNING - HOW IT WORKS & LINK FOR TIME SUBMISSION
If you can’t make it in-person on race day, we encourage you to support the foundation by participating virtually! Run or walk when and where you want and submit your time by the end of race day. New to virtual races? Here is how it works:
Step 1: Get excited, grab some family and friends to join you! Sign up and register for the Running for Energy Efficiency 5K Virtual!
Step 2: Hydrate and get ready to get moving!
Step 3: Get out there and run or walk! You can run / walk at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want. Please remember to social distance & be safe!
Step 4: HAVE FUN! ~ Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route and use the hashtag #RunningforEnergyEfficiency5k, #AEEFoundation, and #AssociationofEnergyEngineers
Step 5: Submit your results directly on Runsignup.com/Race/GA/Norcross/RunningforEnergyEfficiency5K. You can submit your race time HERE on the Virtual Results page anytime through end of day March 5.
Step 6: View your Virtual Results HERE Monday, March 7.
Virtual Shipping Charges

At this time, shipping is FREE for registrants from the lower 48 states.
A $20.00 shipping fee will be added to registrants from Hawaii and Alaska (sorry, blame the post office).
A $25.00 shipping fee will be added to registrants from Canada and Mexico.
A $30.00 shipping fee will be added to registrants for any other International areas.
EVENT COURTESY & REFUND POLICY
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants; there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
FIVE STAR TURKEY TROT & CHAMPIONSHIPS
All participants will automatically qualify for (1) FREE entry into one of the 2022 Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trots. See event website
Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the Championships held in January 2023. The number of spots available is based on the total registration. See event website
