Broadway in the Park VIRTUAL 5K and Team Challenge

BiP VIRTUAL 5K and Team Challenge (with a Pirate Theme): “Move yer booty!” SPA's annual 5K has gone virtual! No experience required!  Help us reach our $3,000 goal to benefit Suwanee Performing Arts (SPA) and our annual production of Broadway in the Park (BiP). Dress like a pirate, wear an eyepatch, or print and decorate  your virtual bib if you like, and don't forget to snap and post a picture to the race page!  

Let's all come together and make this a successful, fun event!

When? Anytime starting NOW through July 30, 2021 at 7pm (when performances begin)!

Registration Fees- $25 for individual participants over 18 years old; $20/each for teams. $15 for those up to 18; $10/each for Fun Run participants and FUNdraising teams. Age-based pricing will apply at checkout.

How does it work?

1. For individuals, start by registering. If you wish to become an individual FUNdraiser, you can do so by clicking on DONATE, then select "Become a Fundraiser" and create your own fundraising page to share with everyone you know! Everyone who raises at least $100 will be entered into a raffle for a table next summer!
2. For New Teams of 3-20 members, start by coming up with a fun team name. The first team member to register for the FUNdraising Challenge will FIRST create a Fundraiser. Click on DONATE, then select "Become a Fundraiser." Enter in a name, a goal, and add a message to describe your Fundraiser, then create the FUNdraising Team. After the team has been created, each participant can join the team during the individual registration process. (Sponsored teams will be created by the race director and managed by a Team Captain; Broadway in the Park artists will be able to join their team at registration by clicking on the "Sponsored Teams" tab at the top of the page and selecting their team; contact your Captain if you need any help.)
3. Once registered, pick a day and start! You can run the event any day, any time, and any place you want during the event. Make sure to download your virtual bib number if you wish to record your results.
4. If you want to submit your results or post a picture, log back in to RunSignup and navigate to the "Results" page or click on "More" and navigate to "Photos" to upload an image using your bib number. We will feature your pictures on SPA's Facebook page!
5. Finally, brag about your accomplishment to everyone you know!

Awards and Extras

• FUNdraising team members will receive T-shirts. Fun Run participants may add a T-shirt for $5; all others may add a logo-branded T-Shirt for $7. Pick up T-shirts at SAA or add $5 for shipping. (Shipping fee will be applied automatically if shirts are not picked up by Friday August 6th; shirts will be shipped 7-10 days later. Call the SAA office or email your race contact if you need to make alternate arrangements).
• The team that raises the most through participation and donations will be rewarded with a pizza party at Mellow Mushroom the weekend of July 23-25!
• Finisher Certificate: Every participant that finishes the challenge and posts results wins a certificate to print out at home, suitable for framing! 

Should we post photos to social media?

Yes! Snap fun photos before, during, and after your run, post, and tag us with #suwaneeperforms #artssuwanee and/or #broadwayinthepark.
