Run Away from 2020 5k

Sigh......

Tired of doing virtual races?  

Tired of being stuck at home?

Tired of 2020?

We are too!  So Performance Race Services is starting up our timing equipment and putting on the RUN AWAY FROM 2020 5k on Sunday 10/18/2020. (This is a Peachtree Road Race Qualifying course)

We understand the current situation and stipulations, so we are making this race unlike others you may have run.

You can come to Suwanee Town Center anytime between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM (race finish cut off is 4:00 PM), pick up your bib, and when you are ready, cross the starting mats in front of City Hall.  Your time starts when you cross the mats at the start and finishes when you cross the mats at the finish line.  Easy as that!

When you are done you can check your results live online, hang around Town Center park, support the local business or hop in your car and head home for a shower and the rest of your day.

IMPORTANT ITEMS TO NOTE: 

• Since this race is open for 7 hours, we are NOT closing the streets that you run on until the greenway (other than just in front of City Hall where the start mats are at).  We will have signs, arrows, cones and staff/volunteers where needed in specific areas but it is still OPEN to cars.  Please keep your eyes and ears open and understand that the cars do have the right of way (please don't get mad).  
• Due to safety, we will NOT have a water station at the turn around point on the course.  Please take a bottle if you think you will need a drink while you are running.  We will have bottled water at the finish of the race.
• Your overall and age group placement for awards is bound to change during the day since runners will be starting at various times, so don't be alarmed.

LOCATION:  Suwanee Town Center - 300 Town Center Ave, Suwanee, GA 30024

START TIME: Anytime between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM (4:00 PM finish cut off time)

COST: $20.20 (online or race day credit card) and $21.00 cash race day

SHIRT: Each runner will receive a unisex dri-fit shirt (Sign up by 10/08 to guarantee your shirt at race day.  All others will be first come first serve and then added to our second shirt order to be picked up at a later date) 

AWARDS: 

** Awards will either be mailed or dropped off at you address at a later date since we will not know the winners until everyone has finished at 4:00 PM **
