For 2022, we are going to be partnering with Drake Relays to produce an elite team completion that will have room to grow. The event will take place April 24th and will feature some of the best racers in the Midwest and beyond. We will link the event once registration is open, but Tyson Wieland will be your contact! 2021 Edition of the event

We have an exciting racing opportunity we would like to offer to your elite running team! With the shamrock shuffle going virtual this year we are putting on a small elite team competition by invitation only in Des Moines, IA on April 11th. This race will take place at Waterworks Park. It will be put on by the same team that brought you WR Elite 5k ( https://results.truetimeracing.com/Results.aspx?CId=16535&RId=767&EId=1) and will host The Blazing 5k this fall (https://www.theblazing5k.com/).

• The race will be a road 10K on a flat and fast course in a closed off park. We are expecting many fast times and great competition.
• The race will feature 12 full teams for each the men’s and women’s race consisting of the top elite running clubs in the Midwest.
• Each team is allowed up to 5 men and 5 women with 4 runners scoring on the men’s sides and 3 on the women’s side.
• To cover the cost of course reservation, insurance, timing and restrooms we are charging just $20 per team member per gender
• Rough Standards will be: 33:00 for men and 38:00 for women, but you can still enter a team if some but not all of your runners meet this standard.
• Teams will be contacted for entry, but feel free to reach out and see if their is space for your team.
• We will be taking COVID precautions, and these will be expressed in emails dispersed throughout the next few months.
• Fields will be limited at race directors discretion.

Teams

1st place: $500 + Team Gear

2nd place: $300

3rd place: $100

Individuals

1st place: $100 + Free pair of shoes from Heartland Soles

2nd place $75 + Free pair of shoes from Heartland Soles

3rd place $50 + Free pair of shoes from Heartland Soles

Notes for team signup:

• In order to secure your teams spot, you must have at least one member signup up by February 12th.
• All 5 spots must be paid for by March 12th, team rosters can still be updated.
• Rosters must be finalized by April 1st.
