The O'Round the Loch Run will be held in Emmetsburg on Saturday, March 20, 2021
The race is held regardless of weather
Preregistration: Please complete the registration form.
Entry Fee: Pre-registered $35
Race Day Registration is $50 from noon of Friday, March 19th through the day of the race, so register early!
T-shirt size cannot be guaranteed for registrations received after February 20, 2021.
Weekend Fun: This is the weekend of the annual St. Patrick’s celebration in Emmetsburg featuring Dignitaries from Ireland. Friday activities: Ben Bag Tournament, Jr. Miss and Miss Shamrock Pageants; Saturday activities: Ribs & Wings Contest, Chili Cook-Off Contest, Kids Zone, Irish Stew Dinner, Chainsaw Artist, Parade, Gathering of the Clans, Irish Music Band; Sunday activities: Rotary Pancake Breakfast, Trap Shoot. Race-Day Registration & Preregistration Check In
Registration for race day participants and Check In for pre-registered participants can be done at the Arthur and Audrey Smith Wellness Center, 3200 College Drive on the east side of Iowa Lakes Community College, from 7:00-8:00 a.m.
You will be able to pickup your T-shirt, race packet and number between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm, on Friday, March 13, 2020. Otherwise, T-shirts will be distributed with race packets and numbers starting at 7:00 AM on Race Day. Extra T-shirts will be available for purchase.
All race participants will be given a FREE day pass to the Smith Wellness Center the day of the race.
Fresh fruit and bagels will be available to every participant.

Start, Finish, & Course
All races will start and finish at the Smith Wellness Center.
The 13.1 mile race will begin at 8:30 am. The 10K race will begin at 8:40 am. The 5K race will begin at 9:00 am and the 1.7 fun/run walk will start at 9:10 am. Please note: The 1/2 marathon requires a short walk to the starting line and has a 4 hour limit.
Course: All races are around or in the vicinity of Five Island Lake.
Other Details
Aid Stations: Water stations are provided for the 1/2 marathon race along the route and at the turnaround for the 10k.
Shower & Toilet Facilities: All facilities are available at the Arthur and Audrey Smith Wellness Center. A Port-a-Potty will be located at an intersection close to the half way point of the 1/2 Marathon.
Awards: Awards will be handed out at the conclusion of each race in the Arthur and Audrey Smith Wellness Center Gymnasium.
Trophies will be awarded to the overall men’s and women’s 1.7 Mile Fun Run/Walk, 5K, 10K, and 1/2 marathon race. Medals will be awarded for first place, second place and third place finishers in each age division—13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 & 60 and over.
Other: No pets. Strollers are allowed for the 1.7 only and will start at the back.
