Ossian 175th Anniversary 5K

The City of Ossian and the Ossian Crown Club are planning a series of events and activities for Ossian’s 175th Anniversary Three-Day Fest. 

Whether you’re an avid runner, enjoy a fun frolic, or just want a family activity that everyone can participate in, this race is for you! 

Join us on Saturday morning, August  9th, for a 5k fun run/walk, a 175 Yard Kids’ Dash, and even a 175 Foot Tot Trot!  

The morning will start with registration where you can pick up your bib number and shirt. 

Starting promptly at 8, join us for a 5k around Ossian. During this fun run, there will be different fun stations and challenges. All ages are welcome to join in this race. Strollers are welcome, but are asked to please start at the back. After the race, age-group awards will be given to the top three male and female runners in each category.

Then, it will be time for the kids’ races. First will be the 175 Foot Tot Trot. This race is for the tots who are 5 years old or younger and is free of charge. Each participant will receive a ribbon at the finish line. 

The Tot Trot will then be followed by a 175 Yard Kids’ Dash. This race is for kids ages 6-12 years old, and is free of charge. Each participant will receive a ribbon at the finish line.

After the race there will be a free pancake breakfast inside the St. Teresa Gym!

7:00 Registration opens

7:50 Registration closes and announcements are made. 

8:00 5K Fun Run/Walk Starts

9:00 Award Ceremony 

9:15 175 ft. Tot Trot (Ages 5 and under) starts

9:30 Kids 175 Yard Dash (ages 6-12) starts

The 5k is priced as follows: $25 by June 30, and you are guaranteed a shirt. $30 if you register July 1-August 2, and extra shirts are on a first come first serve basis. $35 the week of the race, extra shirts are on a first come first serve basis. 

Both kid races are free of charge!
