Description

Be a hero in the eyes of Cunningham kids!

Join us on September 10, 2023 for a fun run/walk in support of Cunningham Children’s Home, sponsored by the United Women in Faith!

You choose the distance – ¼ mile, 1 mile, 5K, or any distance in between. Whether you move like “The Flash” or at “Hulk” speed, Be a Hero for Cunningham is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels.

Show off your inner hero by wearing a costume and/or participate in the color run!

Feeling like a superhero?

The event is free, but please consider supporting Cunningham by gathering donations prior to the run/walk:

  • Raise $25 – receive a Cunningham t-shirt (available in October)
  • Raise $100 – receive a Cunningham Hero Cape (available race day)

Pledges can be dropped off in the Church Office/Narthex beginning August 13. All in-person donations must be turned in by September 8. No donations will be accepted on September 10 at White Oak Park.

All funds raised through the Be a Hero for Cunningham Fun Run/Walk help to meet the critical needs of the 807 youth, individuals and families served by Cunningham. Young people are referred to Cunningham for many reasons, including a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, and mental health issues. Many have experienced rejection and loss. Cunningham offers opportunities for healing and hope across our three areas of services – residential treatment, special education and community-based services. More information about how our programs help youth and families to heal, learn and grow, can be found at cunninghamhome.org

Cunningham Children’s Home is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Come and enjoy music, fun, and fellowship in support of a great organization!
