Description
It's time to get back to the "hustle" and hit the trails! This 2020 Rockford Road Runners Circuit Race, and family friendly event, is held on the beautiful trails of the Byron Forest Preserve. The course features well maintained trails with panoramic views and a variety of terrain. Chip timing will be provided by Tri-3 Sports Timing. Plaques will be awarded to overall male and female finishers and medals will be awarded to top 3 male and female finishers in each age division. Age divisions are as follows: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & above.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, participants will be assigned a start time and are asked to arrive no more then 10 mins prior to the start of their heat. Start times will run every 15 mins beginning at 8:00 a.m. Following the race, runners are asked to avoid congregating and exit in a timely manner. Awards will be announced on Facebook Live (date & time TBD) and medals/plaques will be available for pick up at the Byron Park District. Any medals/plaques not picked up by July 31st will be mailed to the recipient.
Participants must be pre-registered by July 2, 2020 at noon to be guaranteed a race shirt. Shirts will be available to registrants after July 2 on a first come, first serve basis. Pre-registrations will be accepted through July 9, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Pre-registration bib pick up will be held July 10, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Byron Park District, 420 N. Colfax St., Byron. Day of registration will be available onsite from 7:00 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. with the race beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Parking and indoor restrooms are available onsite.
Due to terrain, baby joggers and strollers are discouraged.
