Southern Illinois World AIDS Day Santa Speedo and Mrs. Claus in Bras 5k Walk/Run

Please join us for our third annual Santa Speedo 5K. The event is in commemoration of World AIDS Day.  Preregistration is $30.  In the event of inclement weather, the run/walk will be cancelled. Please still arrive at the event site by 10 a.m. to pick up your race bag and t shirt. No refunds will be provided. Only in the event of inclement weather will your paid registration carry over to the following year. 

Jackson County Health Department, along with our community sponsors, are excited to continue to raise awareness for people living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS in southern Illinois.  The event is scheduled for December 7, 2024. World AIDS day is an annual event to honor those we have lost, as well as, those still living with the disease and continued efforts to prevent new infections.

So ILL Racing will be providing the official timing for the event. 

We have also provided the option of a virtual race.  This is a race that can be run (or walked)  from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.  Plus, you are providing the same level of support of those present on race day. If you choose the virtual option, please contact our office after December 7th to pick up your race bag and t shirt at 618-684-3143 ext. 155.
