Parking

The race starts next to Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery.  Parking is located in the forest preserve just west of the Winery at Dan Ryan Woods-91st street (Google Map Link click here).  For participants in the 9am and 10am waves, it is likely that this lot will be full so we recommend utilizing public parking at the Beverly Hills 91st Metra Station:  9118 S Beverly Blvd, Chicago, IL

Charity Partner

The Charity Partner for this event is the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation.

The Nikolas Ritschel Foundation enriches the lives of young cancer patients between 18-24 years old. In most cases, we fulfill their wish of a dream vacation that they can enjoy with their family!

The Story of Nikolas Ritschel:

Nikolas Ritschel was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Synovial Sarcoma, about a month before his 18th birthday and joined heaven a month after his 21st birthday.  Nik realized that many cancer patients in his age group were too old to take advantage of “kids” programs and yet too young to have their own resources. He wished there was something to provide respite to this age group and give them the encouragement. We then founded the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation. Thanks to your support, adolescent young adult cancer patients and their families can share lasting memories! We have helped over 315 young adult cancer patients and their families since our inception in 2012.

  • Is the race dog friendly? Yes, dogs are allowed on a leash but they are not allowed in the winery building.
  • I still have questions, who do I contact?  If you have a question, someone else probably does too.  Email us using the "questions" button on this page, we would love to hear from you!

Can I Participate Virtually?

Absolutely!  We have been getting many inquiries about virtual participation and have integrated a virtual option into our regular registration.

Please feel free to register through the regular registration link above and you can either:

1) Pick up packet during packet pickup or on the morning of the race, but run on your own (hint:  wine ticket is still good if you use this strategy)

2) Contact us at any time to switch to the Haunted Wine Run Virtual Race and we'll ship your packet (There will be a $10.00 shipping and handling charge for per person)

Also, if you intend on running, but later change your mind and would like to do either of these options, that's ok too!  If you are definitely going to have us ship your packet and run virtually though, we do recommend you follow the instructions below:

1). Go to runsignup.com/profile and log into your account.

2). Click on "Manage Registration" next to this race.

3). On the next page click on transfer to another race and choose the Haunted Wine Run Virtual Race.
