Stone & Steel Spooky 5k

The Joliet City Center Partnership (CCP) is excited to host the 3rd annual Stone & Steel Spooky 5K on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at 8 a.m.  This chip-timed race starts in Downtown Joliet and runs through the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site.  Walkers and runners are welcome to participate.  Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costume.  A hat and gloves are included in the race fee, but may not be guaranteed if registering after September 24th. Registration will remain open the morning of the race beginning at 7 a.m. Packet pick-up will be available, for anyone who REGISTERED BY OCTOBER 1ST, at Internode Greenery & Home located at 81 N. Chicago Street, Friday from 11 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Due to construction in the downtown, we encourage you to park at the Ottawa Street Deck located at 110 N. Ottawa. Bring your ticket with you for validation at Internode. Otherwise, you may pick up your packet the morning of the race.

Awards will be presented to the male and female with the best overall time and by age group (0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 +). 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place overall Female and Male will receive special awards. Must be present to receive award. Awards will not be mailed.

COURSE MAP

 A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Joliet Central High School's chapter of the National Honor Society which recognizes students who excel in the four pillars of NHS: leadership, scholarship, service, and character.  All NHS students have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.  Selected members participate in a variety of service projects and leadership events.
