2024 RACE COURSE

UPDATE: Due to some construction on Park Rd, the course route is slightly modified this year (thankfully still certified!). Please see below for the new course with 2 changes being that racers will be coming down Dover instead of Park and making a “U” shape off Jackson Avenue.

(Updated in 2017) USATF-certified course (IL 17026WR). Timing provided by J3 Timing; your 5K time starts and ends when you cross the line! ALL EVENTS BEGIN AT 5K START/FINISH line.

RACE DAY SAFETY

A few safety announcements for Race Day - so please read through!

  • Kids in Front: This is a family-oriented event, so if  you are a faster runner or pushing a stroller, please be aware of our Junior Falcons during the first part of the race course
  • Course Marshalls: We have volunteers at every street crossing, but remember that Stone Avenue between Richmond and Waiola will have runners running in both directions. IMPORTANT please stay to the left of the cones.
Bibs / Finish Line: If you decide not to complete the entire course, do not go through the finish since it will throw off the race results.
  • Course Marking: The course has been marked with blue paint on the streets. There are arrows at every turn, signs in the ground, and signs at each mile marker.
Police Car Lead: Officer Scott Habenicht from the LaGrange Park Police Department will lead the way in the police car (round of applause for office Scott and the LaGrange Park PD).
  • Potholes / Footing: Please be mindful of potholes along the race route, and there are piles of leaves, so please be aware of where you are stepping.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

With heartfelt thanks, we wouldn't be able to put on this fantastic event year after year without the help and support from the Village of La Grange Park, St. Francis Xavier Parish, our sponsors, and all of our volunteers! Thank you!
