Description
This annual run is the principal fundraiser for the North Aurora River District Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement of the North Aurora riverfront area as a gathering space for the community.
Run for the Riverfront offers you the unique opportunity to explore the grounds of the Mooseheart campus along our course, which is situated on concrete and gravel terrain, all private streets. As you navigate the course, take time to take in the beautiful, natural surroundings, you may even encounter a resident bald eagle overhead!
Water stations will be at 1 and 2 mile marks. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.

1 mile fun run – 7:05 am
10k – 7:30 am
5k – 7:45 am

Pickup will be available prior to race start.
Parking
Public parking on campus. Enter off Mooseheart Rd at the stadium entrance. Designated parking area will be marked and volunteers will be there to direct you.
Need to arrive prior to 7:05 due to our 10k starting line blocking the entrance to parking.

CARA Certified
This race has applied for and received the Chicago Area Runners Association designation as a CARA Certified Green Race. This race has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA’s Best Practices Guidelines. These Guidelines embody the highest standards for quality, safety and comfort for participants in a road race. This race has also agreed to adhere to a set number of Green Practices that have been approved by CARA. The successful completion of these practices, recognize the achievement of an eco-friendly race.
