Virtual Run/Walk for Murphysboro Main Street

Support Murphysboro Main Street's mission to promote the historical preservation, history, culture, architecture, and public use of Murphysboro's traditional downtown area.  This is our first ever run/walk event, and we're starting this July 4th celebration with a bang...our event is going VIRTUAL! We are bringing the walk/run TO YOU!

Pick the run/walk you want to compete in, then on either July 3 or July 4 or July 5, 2020, COMPETE!  Select the course of your choice! Participate morning or night, treadmill or outside, around the town, on a traditional route, in a wacky outfit or your running attire - the choices are endless! We want to see how you make the Virtual Main Street Run/Walk FUN! You can also share your walk/run on social media tagging. Share info and pictures of you on your trek by tagging @murphysboromainstreet on Facebook!

There is a race distance for everyone!  For those who like the shorter trips, all the way up to our ultra-crazy running friends, and our friends who love to do ALL the races (or collect all the bling!) in a weekend... there are options for each of you! If you aren't into competing and simply want to participate in the race, that's ok too!

If you are participating in a live run/walk somewhere over these dates - DOUBLE-DIP! Be aware of our parameters on course length, and send us your times. Use your live race for our race also!

Once you run/walk your distance, submit the time that it took you to complete your event by texting your name and time to 618-534-3713.

Packets will include T-Shirt (guaranteed to the first 100 registrants), medal (guaranteed to the first 100 registrants), bib, and more!

Wednesday, July 1st, 5pm-7pm and/or Thursday, July 2nd, 5pm-7pm.
Location for pick up: Murphysboro Daum Administrative Building parking lot which is 1101 Walnut St.
This will be a drive-thru packet pick up:
1. Pull-in
2. Stay in your car
3. Tell us your name
4. We will hand you your swag bag packet
5. Drive thru to exit

*Note if you signed up and do not live in close to Murphysboro, we will be mailing your packets early next week!
