Description
The HOH 5k is the main fundraiser for the HOH scholarship program. This race is organized by the Northbrook District 28 PTO Council with volunteers from Greenbriar, Meadowbrook, Northbrook Junior High and Westmoor. All proceeds will benefit the Homer O. Harvey Scholarship Fund.
5K runners and walkers will start at 8:00 a.m with a group start. We welcome strollers, but NO dogs, bikes or rollerblades please. The lot behind the junior high will be closed from 7:45 - 8:15 a.m. for the race. The race is chip timed for instant results of the race. Runners can see their results after they finish.
At 9:00 a.m. there will be a kids fun run. Kids age 6 & under are invited to participate and will receive a prize for finishing (no T-shirt). Registration for the kids run will close at 7:45 a.m.
Registration Details
Early Bird Registration: fees for the 5K before April 12th. Everyone who early registers for the 5K race before April 12th gets a T-shirt!
$30/Adult 5K (18 and older)
$25/Youth 5K (17 and under)
Kids Fun Run (6 and under) $15 - Small prize is given (no T-shirt)
April 12th-May 3rd Registration online and limited on-site during Race Day - T-SHIRTS NOT GUARENTEED.
$40/Adult 5K (18 and older)
$35/Youth 5K (17 and under)
Kids Fun Run (6 and under) $20 - Small prize is given (no T-shirt).
Online registration closes on May 3, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
T-Shirts
T-shirts are guaranteed for registrants during Early Registration through April 12th.
When registering after April 12th, we will fulfill T-shirts until we run out. A T-shirt and preferred sizes are NOT guaranteed when registering after April 12th.
T-shirts can also be purchased separately for a non-runner for $20 during Early Registration.
Race Day and Awards
Race Day Registration is available during packet pick up on May 3 and on race day from 7 am to 7:45 am.
5K Age Groups: Medals for the overall male & female 5K winners, as well as the top male & female age group finishers for ages 5-6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 60 & over.
There will also be kids' awards for the 1st place girl and boy from each elementary school at each grade level, K through 8th announced in school the following week.
Race results will be available on race day and on our website.

If you register by April 30th packet pick up will be on Friday, May 3rd 3-6pm

If you cannot pick up on Friday, May 3rd:
Pick up your race packet beginning at 7:00 am behind Northbrook Junior High School where the race begins.
