A1C Zachary Ryan "Cudde" Cuddeback was a vehicle operator assigned to the 86th Vehicle Readiness Section, 86th Logistics Readiness Group, 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein AB, Germany, when he was mortally wounded by an Islamic Terrorist while transporting USAF Security Forces to Frankfort International Airport, Germany on March 2, 2011.

A1C Cuddeback was born in July 6, 1989 at Scott AFB, Illinois.  As an Army dependent, he moved frequently, but always claimed St. Louis, Missouri as his home.  He graduated from William Monroe High School in Stanardsville, Virginia in 2008.  In the year following his graduation, Zac played hockey at Old Dominion University on the Monarch Ice Hockey Team and the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity until he joined the Air Force in 2009.  He attended Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and then went on to training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  Upon graduation, he received an assignment to Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

A1C Zachary Ryan "Cudde" Cuddeback will forever be remembered by his father, CW3 Robert Cuddeback (U.S. Army Retired), his mother Celia Loyet and his beloved brother, Tim, along with his Air Force family and friends.   Zac lived by the motto "Honor Super Omnia" - "Honor Above All Things" and truly embraced the Air Force Core Values -- Integrity First, Serice Before Self and Excellence in All We Do.
