Kick off Lodge Con with this crazy mayhem! A 0.52 mile run on the Will County Fairgrounds!
Why 0.52 miles? Well, 0.26 is 1/100th of the marathon distance and is sometimes known as a "Micro Marathon", but we're gonna give you your moneys worth by going the extra mile. Well extra quarter mile. It's 0.26 OUT, and then you have to get back to the finish line the way you came.
Come run or walk with us on Saturday morning at 7:00AM and collect your race number. There we'll all line up and at 7:15 or so we'll start you all off!
We very much encourage you to come run in any kind of crazy elaborate costume pieces or other gimmicks amuse you (provided they are SAFE following all the rules of costuming at the convention.)
This event is free. We will hand out race numbers, some participation tokens at the finish (details pending) and maybe a prize or two.
This event is open to attendees of Lodge Con only, but does not require any badge or registration to participate.
You register here, to help us know who is participating in the case of any mishaps. Paper signups will be available at the last minute until we run out of supplies.
When it is all done, you will at least be welcome to a bottle of water. We may or may not have other goodies (details are being explored, but as this is the first time we try this here, we're figuring it out as we go!)
