Description

In a world where you can be anything, Be Kind.

November 13 is World Kindness Day! It is an international holiday formed in 1998 to promote kindness throughout the world. It highlights the good deeds in the community and focuses on the positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds us.

In honor of World Kindness Day, L.E.S. Live Every Second is promoting health, wellness, and kindness with a virtual 5K! On November 13th, all participants are encouraged to run or walk 3.1 miles, as well as spread random acts of kindness! During a time of negativity, despair, and fear in the world we live, we are here to spread positivity, gratitude to one another and have some fun!

This event is open to everyone, (you, your family and close friends). Our goal is to motivate you and your loved ones to stay active and healthy and to spread kindness along the way. November 13 is the day to complete your 5K run/walk. Stay tuned for more info on doing a local meet-up to walk together (In-person) or message us if you would like to throw one in your local community and we can share that as well to help round up any other participants in your area! We would love to see you all in action. Please tag #kindnessbeginswithme5k with pictures, packet reveals, even random acts of kindness you catch throughout the weekend. Help us capture these moments and make it an event to remember!

About the Host

L.E.S. Live Every Second is a non-profit organization that was started in memory of Lester Dominguez, who suddenly passed from a heart attack at the young age of 27. During his hospitalization, labs displayed he had high sugar levels and elevated blood pressure. These elevated values indicated that he was diabetic and had high blood pressure, which are two major risk factors for developing heart problems. The family and friends (Founders of LES) believe the outcome would have turned out differently if preventative actions had been taken and the reason L.E.S was formed.

L.E.S.’s mission is to increase health awareness, promote healthy living and share the importance of routine health check-ups. The goal is to provide resources along with educating the community on health prevention and ways of leading a healthier lifestyle.
