Due to expected rain Saturday August 15th, Flight to the Finish 5K & Kids 100m Dash has been changed to Sunday, August 16th.
Welcome to the Flight to the Finish 5K and Kids 100m Dash!
Join us Sun, Aug 16 2026 at 2400 Dowie Memorial Drive (Zion Park District) for a fun-filled event as we launch our Zinnia and Monarch Festival..and Bees Too!
The day begins at 8:30 am with the 5K race and followed by the FREE kids 100 meter dash at 9:30am with ribbons awarded to the top 3 finishers under the age of 10. No registration necessary for kids 100 meter dash.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event is perfect for all ages and skill levels. The 5K (FLAT FAST COURSE) race will test your endurance, while the Kids 100m Dash is a great way to get the little ones involved. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to challenge yourself and have a blast with friends and family. The event closes with awards for ages and top finishers AND First Time 5Kers and door prizes! AWESOME Zinnia and Monarch Festival...and Bees Too! T-Shirt!
