Every Step Matters!
One of the highlights of our annual celebration of the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is our march across the Historic Eighth Street bridge here in Anderson. In the past, our local community has banded together for this march as a symbolic gesture to express our commitment to peace and justice. This year, you don’t have to be in Anderson to participate in the Peace & Justice March! We invite you to join us from wherever you are in the world by committing to take a Million Steps for Martin on an MLK Blvd, Street, Road, or Drive (or any other street) of your choice.
You can register as an individual or as a team. If you do not want to complete one million steps, you can register and then set your own personal goal, because every step matters. Another way to support the annual celebration is to donate to the Multicultural Student Success Fund. You can also add a donation to your free registration. Commemorative gear is also available for purchase. You can purchase Awaken the Dream t-shirts or A Million Steps for Martin t-shirts, hoodies, and crew neck sweatshirts.
