100 Holes for the Homeless - Bloomington

Benefitting Bloomington's Winter Shelter for the Homeless Hosted at Wheeler Mission

You can help! Golfers and Caddies will contact others to request donations that will all go to help care for the homeless in our community this winter. Each $500 raised will provide one month of meals, lodging and other support for a guest staying at the Winter Shelter. The goal of the event is to raise $100,000.

Once registered a fundraising page will be established for you, and you will receive an email link to that fundraising page.  You will be able to copy and paste that link to your own emails that you send to potential donors (sponsors of you in the event).

“Rally the Troops” Kickoff Mixer

Hosted by D.G. & Gini Elmore
Wednesday, September 1st
5:30pm - 7:00pm

The Foundry: 304 W. Kirkwood

All golfers and caddies are invited, and encouraged to attend this special social event that is a kickoff to the fundraising activity of participants.  At that time you will receive more information about the Winter Shelter, and the host of the shelter Wheeler Mission.

Golf Format

  • All golfers and caddies will get their own cart
  • The recommended format for play is called “Mulligan Golf”  On every shot on par 4’s and par 5’s a player will take a Mulligan, and hit two shots.  Players will hit two Mulligan’s by playing 3 shots on par 3’s.  The player will then pick their best shot.
  • All putts within 3 feet are considered “Gimmies.”  This format is to encourage enjoyable and speedy play.
  • Under this format, after 18 holes a player will be deemed to have played 40 holes.  Playing about 42 holes during the day will represent playing “100 Holes” of golf.
  • Players are not required to complete any specified number of holes and may discontinue playing at any time.
  • At 5:00 pm there will be a brief closing program with food provided.
    • Prizes for “closest to the hole” on the Par 3’s.
    • The two individuals raising the most amount of money will each receive two passes to play the Pete Dye Course at French Lick.

Each golfer and caddy will have their own fundraising page, and a computer link to that page will be provided for use with email solicitation
Golfers pay no greens fee to play, but commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 through their fundraising. Caddies have no minimum for fundraising.
Using the donation link and email solicitation, you do not have to collect money!
