Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. invites you to our 3rd Annual Pink Print 5K! The theme of this year's event is "Outpacing Poverty.” The purpose is to promote a more unified and healthy community while benefitting Monroe County United Ministries (MCUM). MCUM is a local nonprofit whose vision is to help eliminate generational poverty throughout Monroe County. Their services include but are not limited to:
- Coaching and resource assistance to families and individuals experiencing hardship
- 1:1 support to help individuals reach self-sufficiency
- Full-time, year-round affordable childcare and early childhood education
MCUM’s commitment aligns with Alpha Kappa Alpha’s initiative to help individuals build an economic legacy. Therefore, all proceeds will be donated to MCUM to help advance their mission and better service our community. We encourage you to sign up and meet us there! We'd love to have you.

Race Route
2019 Pink Print 5K Route:
The route being ran will be the north route through campus beginning and ending at the Showalter Fountain. The arrows denote the direction of the run. Runners are aware this is not a closed course and they will be running on the sidewalks. Right now, they will leave the Showalter Fountain around 10:05 a.m. and travel east, running on the north side of the Auditorium. At the intersection of 7th and Jordan, they will turn left on the west sidewalk and run north next to Jordan Avenue. The runners will run north on Jordan on the west sidewalk until they get to the intersection of 17th and Jordan Avenue. At this point, the runners will cross 17th Street to the north sidewalk and run east on the north sidewalk of 17th Street. When the runners get to 17th and the Jordan Extension, they will turn north onto the Jordan Extension and run on the west sidewalk to Fee and the Jordan Extension. At Fee and the Jordan Extension, the runner will turn south and run on the east side of Fee Lane. When the runners get to Fee and 10th Street, the runners will cross 10th Street, using the east sidewalk and begin running west on 10th Street using the south sidewalk. At the intersection of 10th and Woodlawn, the runners will run south on Woodlawn Avenue using the east sidewalk. The runners will run to 7th and Woodlawn Avenue and turn east onto 7th Street. At this point, they will be running on the north sidewalk of 7th Street. They will run east, using the north sidewalk, all the way to the finish at the Showalter Fountain.
