Description
Join us for the 15th Annual Frosty Five Run. Enjoy the scenic cross country style course that starts at Studebaker Park Pavilion and follows the River Greenway Trail along the Elkhart River The 5K and 5M courses will now all be almost entirely on paved trails. The City of Elkhart has paved the path for multi-use (bikes and running) and made some major improvements to the drainage so that flooding/freezing is less likely to occur.
We will be posting photos on Facebook to keep you apprised of the conditions as we get closer to the date.
February is usually the month when the winter blues might try to set in, so come out for some fun and camaraderie! You won't feel the cold with your running mates by your side! We'll have a fire going in the cabin to stay cozy before and after the race. There are large restrooms, so you can bring a dry top to change into there. Plenty of parking at the park- there are multiple.
ENTRY FEE. Entry fee for the race, which includes chip timing, awards, and post race refreshments is $30.00. Long sleeve, buttery soft shirts are optional and an additional $15.00. The shirt color is Royal Frost this year. Vintage shirts are available onsite for $10.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Flat, ( ok there is one very small hill- which you hit twice) and one hill on the turnaround, scenic, tree-lined, paved for almost all of it, included the newest section of the path by the environmental Yes- that path has been elevated and paved, with the goal of connecting this to the MapleHeart Trail connecting to the Pumpkinvine. This is an out and back course, which is nice because you will never be alone on the course! You will see your mates along the way!
NOTE: There are two different starting lines for the different distances. The 5 MILE course starts in front of the Pavilion on McDonald Avenue and will follow the YELLOW arrow signs. The 5 K course starts on the road by the parking lots and will follow green signs. You will have different colored bibs, so help each other out if you notice that someone didn't get the memo on this detail.
DOGS If you would like to run with your dog, you will need to fill out a waiver and adhere to the park rules. Please contact the race director for that waiver to register your dog!
RESULTS You can opt in on RunSignup to have results sent to your phone. There will be a roaring fire and refreshments in the Pavilion to keep you warm while we wait for results.
