Description
Dove and Twig Cafe presents the Java Jolt 5K Run/Walk! Happening on April 18th, this family-friendly event is more than a race. It's an opportunity to serve and support the basic needs of child around the world, including Haiti, Myanmar, Zambia, and right here in Evansville. Join us as we walk, run, and serve together to make an impact locally and globally. Sign up today and turn your steps into support for children in need.
Kids Little Dove Dash ages 1-3 will start at 8:30am (50 meters)
Kids Little Dove Dash ages 4-6 will start at 8:35am (100 meters)
Kids Little Dove Dash ages 7-9 will start at 8:40am (200 meters)
Start time for the 5k is 9:00 am Central Time
The 1 Mile walk will start at 9:05 am
Children 5 and under can have one parent present on the course as a safety precaution.
Strollers may be used in the 5k and 1-mile walk.
Parking:
Parking will be in the east parking lot and in parking lot next to Wendy's
Course:
The 5k course will begin on S. Congress Ave. and continue north to John St. It will travel west and take a sharp left on S. Stockwell Rd. before entering the State Hospital grounds. The marked path will lead east and complete a loop before turning left on S. Stockwell Rd. and right on John St. Finish by traveling south on S. Congress Ave. (See course map)
The 1-mile course will be an out and back traveling north on S. Congress Ave., west on John St. There will be a volunteer and a sign at the half mile turn around

Dove and Twig Cafe Friday April 17th, 11:00am - 2:00pm and 4:30pm-6:30pm.
Race Day Registration/Packet Pick Up:
Bethel Church west parking lot 7:30-8:30 AM
Awards:
10am in west lot
5K Overall Male and Female
Top male and female in Little Dove Dash ages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9
Top 3 male and female runners in the following age categories:
1-13,14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99
Each runner and walker who completes the 5k or 1-mile walk will receive a numbered ticket and is eligible for prizes drawn after awards are given. Must be present to win.
Timing
The 5k race will be officially chip timed by “To the Finish." Results will be posted at www.tothefinishtiming.com
Weather:
This race is rain or shine. Entries are non-refundable and sales are final. Race will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather/lightning.
