Pink Ribbon Run 2023

Three Rivers Running Company has teamed up with the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer research to help raise funds for life-saving research at the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Join us for the 4-mile run or 2-mile walk on the Lutheran Hospital campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. 

As it has since 2014, the Pink Ribbon Run will benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, which raises funds for breast cancer research to find a cure and to improve the lives of the many affected by this disease. Vera Bradley’s co-founders began raising funds after the loss of a dear friend to the disease in 1993. The Foundation has contributed $36 million to the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Center is focused on developing and dramatically improving therapies for some of the most difficult-to-treat types of breast cancer, including triple negative breast cancer. Vera Bradley Co-founders Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller began raising funds for breast cancer research in 1993 after the loss of their dear friend, Mary Sloan. Since then, their genuine commitment to this cause has evolved into the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer is focused solely on investing in breast cancer research. Currently, the Foundation funds research at the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Only in the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research are researchers able to pinpoint the perfect drug or drugs to fight breast tumors and sync this knowledge with each woman’s genetic and personal profile. It’s exciting for us to know that this work—that will impact care everywhere—is only possible because of funding from the Vera Bradley Foundation.

Packet pickup will take place at race headquarters (7836 W. Jefferson Blvd) on race morning beginning at 7:30 am. Race day registration will be available until 8:30 am.
