National Running Day 5K with Indianapolis Cultural Trail + Indy Runners & Walkers

Celebrate National Running Day with a free and festive 5K around the Downtown Canal, hosted by Indy Runners & Walkers and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail on Wednesday, June 7.   Join us on the Cultural Trail outside the Trail's office at 132 West Walnut. We'll do a warmup walk starting at 6pm then begin the untimed 5K run and walk from the west side of Senate Avenue. The course will run past the Colts' Playground, north around the Canal Basin before passing the Indiana History Center, Medal of Honor Memorial near Military Park, White River State Park, the Indiana State Museum, Eiteljorg Museum, State Government Center and USS Indianapolis Memorial. 

Grab your favorite running and walking friends or come ready to meet new ones. All ages, paces and abilities are welcome. Not quite ready to go 5K (3.1 miles)? There are four options to shorten the route (three involve a few stairs).
