Did you know that Hendricks County will be in the path of totality during the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024? In an event that is as rare as it is thrilling, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park is proud to present the "Race to the Eclipse," in partnership with the Town of Brownsburg and Visit Hendricks County.

As anticipation builds for the 2024 total solar eclipse, where the moon will completely obscure the sun, all eyes will be on Central Indiana and the unique vantage point it offers. The "Race to the Eclipse" not only capitalizes on racing but also provides an unparalleled opportunity for attendees to witness the eclipse within the path of totality.

Course

We can't wait to host runners and walkers for this once in a lifetime event! Join us at Lucas Oil Raceway for a midday 5k to kick off the festivities at the Race to the Eclipse festival. Participants will enjoy a flat and super speedy course with a chance to race down both the drag strip AND on the oval track! Shortly after the race they'll have two dragsters racing down the track just before totality!
