The 2015 CASA SuperHero 5K Run/Walk will be the second annual for the Kansas City area. By combining the efforts of Jackson County CASA and CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties, we have created a fun atmosphere with a 5K run/walk, kids-caped fun run, family-friendly activities, vendors, costume contests and much more.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to empower abused children and give them a chance for a brighter future. CASA advocates speak within the court system on behalf of children who have been abused and neglected. CASA volunteers are powerful, effective and caring individuals. They play a crucial role in a child’s life by monitoring their case and reporting findings to the court. This helps to ensure better, more informed decisions are made regarding the life of a child.

Race Amenities
5K Participants will receive a T-Shirt, Race Bag and Finisher Medal
Medals awarded to the top 3 male and female runners in each age group; a prize will be awarded to the top male and female participant
Food and beverages will also be available for all participants
Kids Fun Run will receive a finisher medal, superhero cape and goody bag. A Kids Zone will also be available.
Awards Ceremony
Finisher and Top Runner Medals will be distributed at the Finish Line.
Prizes for the top male and female participants will be distributed before the Kids Fun Run.
Costume Contest winners and Top Fundraisers will be recognized after the Kids Fun Run

Virtual Runners: Can pickup packets at packet pickup June 13th from 11am-4pm or you can pick up your packets at KC Running Store, 4670 W. 135th Street, Leawood Kansas during store hours after Monday June 15.
