Helen Gold 5K-10K LIVE Race is Cancelled -
We will be keeping the registration website open and are still operating is the Fundraising, Donations & Sponsorships for Parkinson's Disease Research at KU for 2020
Due to the current status of the Covid-19 epidemic we've come to the conclusion that it is best to cancel this year's event scheduled for September 12th. While this is an outdoor event, there would be many Parkinson's patients and others that need to avoid crowds.
All of us involved in the Helen Gold event want to thank you for your continued support and generosity for Parkinson's Research at KU.
Our 2020 Helen Gold 5K – 10K charity event on September 12th has grown from 200 runner-walkers in 2001 to over 1,000 participants. As a result, 100% of all contributions and registrations have helped raise almost $900,000 for Parkinson’s Disease Research at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Our race event starts and ends at La Paloma Plaza Shopping Center located at 119th and Glenwood on Glenwood, just east of Johnny’s Tavern. Our race is part of the Race KC Series, supported by the KC Track Club and RaceDay Timing and is heralded as one of the best-organized runs in the Metro Area.
We are hoping you will become OR continue to be a participant, contributing sponsor or volunteer for this vital research event. All proceeds benefit Parkinson’s Research at Kansas University Medical Center. There are many ways YOU and / or your company can make a difference in the fight to eliminate Parkinson’s disease by joining us in this event as a runner. walker, sponsor, participant, or volunteer. www.helengold5k.com
