Description

Calling all Shocker fans and the ICT community! Shocker Neighborhood Win the Day, Wichita State University, Wichita Park & Recreation, HealthCore Clinic and Denise Colborn Fitness have partnered to host the Shocker Neighborhood 5K Walk/Run. The Walk/Run will take place on Saturday, July 27th, at 8:00 a.m. (registration 7:00 a.m.) and includes validated bib tag with chip timing and a race t-shirt while they last. The race route will begin at Wichita State University with the course leading through the Wichita State campus. It is our goal for this race to bring a sense of community and unity to our Shocker neighborhoods. Come one, come all as this 5K Walk/Run is for all fitness levels and is an official running event hosted by The Timer Guys. Reminder: t-shirts are available while they last!

Packet pickup will take place 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 26 at Fairmount Coffee Co., 3815 E. 17th Street, Wichita and also will be available beginning at 7 a.m. on race day.

**This is a "rain or shine" event. The race will go on even if it rains.**

Prizes will be awarded for overall male and female runner and the top three male and female runners in the following categories: 19 & under, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60+, overall. Prizes include a medal and/or WSU Shocker swag.

Race packet pickup will be available the day before the race (July 26). Otherwise, packets can be picked up at registration starting at 7:00 am on race day. Packets will include your bib, t-shirt and other information.
