Virtual Race WITH BEER!
In following the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the state, we have made the decision to not hold an in-person Lakeside Lager this year. Instead, we'll be shifting the event to a virtual run with a TWIST!
Our friends at Chevy Chase Inn (CCI) reopened on July 1 and have agreed to be the beer provider for this year's virtual race. Run your virtual race any time from July 31st to August 9th (either on your own or on our suggested 5k or suggested 10k routes from John's Run/Walk Shop in Chevy Chase) and then swing by the shop to pick up your race packet. You’ll still get your shirt, custom pint glass, and 2 beer tickets to use at CCI, which is mere steps away from the Shop. Your tickets are good for any 2 West Sixth Beers at CCI.
You registration will be automatically transferred to the virtual option before race day.
Packet Pickup will run the whole time from July 31st until August 9th during John's Run/Walk Shop business hours:
M-F 10 AM - 6 PM, Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM, Sunday 12 PM - 5 PM
At this point in the year, the move to a virtual event probably comes as no surprise. We know you’ve seen countless races and events get cancelled, or go virtual. All of us at John’s Bluegrass Racing have been humbled by the continued support from all of our racers, volunteers, partners, and the Central Kentucky running community. We are looking forward to the day we can all race together again, but until then, we’re going to continue doing everything in our power to put on fun, meaningful events, that give you the opportunity to run or walk for awesome community causes.
We can’t wait to see where race day takes you!
