What is a virtual challenge?
A Virtual Run is about being healthy, having fun, and accomplishing your personal goals. It's a race that you can run, walk, treadmill, wheelchair, cycle, or hike from any location you choose. It gives you the freedom to run your own route and the ability to be a part of something special. Complete the distance anytime from October 5 - October 28
What do I do when I finish my distance?
Please post on the Ledcor Cares Yammer Group when you have finished your distance. Do not forget to include your race photos and include what charity you went the distance for! Use #LedcorCaresVirtualChallenge when posting (please do not include any donation amounts when you post).
How do I record my distance?
You can use an activity app on your phone (RunKeeper, MayMyRun, Strava, etc.), log your activity on paper, or use a GPS watch. You are not required to submit your results or time. We do ask that you post on the Ledcor Cares Yammer Group when you have finished your distance.
Why do a virtual challenge?
By choosing to do a virtual run rather than a traditional run, you can pound the concrete with the assurance that you’re raising awareness about a cause that’s important to you. You’ll also have the satisfaction of knowing you’re getting excellent exercise, even though there’s absolutely no pressure to go super fast.
You can walk the whole “race” if you desire, because you are truly the only competitor that matters. Besides, virtual challenges are about having fun, not winning a medal. However, you will be entered into a random drawing to win a $400 Visa Gift Card!
