Join us in NIcholasville as we celebrate Earth Day with a family friendly 3K and lots of other fun activities.
SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 2024 **** 3:00PM **** RINEY B PARK IN NICHOLASVILLE
Lace up your running shoes for our 3K run/walk and Kid's "Little Footprint" Dash as we raise funds for the Jessamine County Food Pantry. This race is presented by Nicholasville/Jessamine County Parks & Recreation in conjunction with RaceRise. In addition to the race we'll be collecting non perishable food items for the Food Pantry as well as collecting recyclables (paper, plastic, cardboard, glass, aluminum cans, electronics and phonebooks). There will be lots of family friendly Earth Day activities and displays to enjoy before and after the race.
RACE FEATURES
- Closed 3K course on paved trail/roadway surfaces
- Commemorative race T-shirts (unisex size and youth sizes)
- 3K run/walk, 1/4 mile Kid's "Little Footprint" Dash and virtual option
- Awards for the 3K --- Overall Top 3 M/F and Top 3 M/F in 5 year age groups
- Bottled water, Gatorade and fruit/snacks for post race
- Free race photos & Finish Line Photo Contest
- Fun Earth Day activities and displays (TBA)
- Fun and Fellowship for the whole family
3K ROUTE MAP
PACKET PICKUP We'll have packet pickup on race morning from 1:30-2:45pm at Riney B Park. We don't plan an advanced day PPU for this race.
VIRTUAL OPTION Can't run/walk with us in person but want to support the race? Register as a virtual participant. For a $25 donation we'll make sure you receive a commemorative race shirt and you can run/walk your own "Earth Day Dash" on your own schedule in your own hometown.
KID'S LITTLE FOOTPRINT DASH At 2:45pm we'll hold our KId's Dash which will be a flat 1/4 mile course (out and back). The Kid's Dash is FREE and for kids 10 and under but you do need to register your child. Kid's earn a participation medal and parents can add a shirt for a $7.00 add on fee. Bring the kids --- The more the merrier!

Jessamine County Food Pantry - Our Race Charity Beneficiary
Our race charity beneficiary is the Jessamine County Food Pantry. Partial race proceeds and 100% of donations will go support their mission. Additionally we'll be collecting non-perishable food items at the race to donate to those in need.

The Jessamine County Food Pantry has been proudly serving Jessamine County since 2004 by providing food to those who need it most. We pride ourselves on having an easy and relatively quick food distribution process. If you would like to help us, you can donate money by clicking on the donate button above, or if you have food to donate you can drop it off at our location during any open hours or set up a separate time to drop off by calling our phone number : (859)-312-4003.
