Description
This is a 5K Run or 2-Mile Walk. We don't have t-shirts, but we do have trophies for winners by age group: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
Donations only (recommended $25). All proceeds will go to support the veterans’ homeless shelter at Lancer, now under construction. The VFW needs additional funds to complete the project. The race begins at 10 a.m. at the stage in downtown Prestonsburg.
The walk race will not start until 10 a.m. A little later so it won’t be so cold.
By the way, we have a new route that’s been approved by the Mayor. It’s all flat and will be starting at the stage area in the City Parking Lot across from City Hall. It will be a fast flat walk/run. Easy on the body, but still great exercise.
