Here's how it works: 1) You sign up to volunteer on Volunteer page. 2) You recruit 3 (three) others - 13 years or older - to volunteer for this race and have them sign up on the Volunteer page and put Your Name when it asks who recruited them. 3) You and your recruits show up on race day and volunteer for the entire race. 4) After the race, if all qualifications are met, Five Star NTP will mail you your $50 Visa Gift card.

Description
It's never too early to start thinking ahead!
We're starting 2025 the only way we know how, with a race! After you ring in the New Year, take a nap then come out, and join us and RUN (or walk) into the New Year! We're putting on the #NYD5K or #NYD5K&HALFMARATHON.
We thought it would be appropriate to kiss 2024 goodbye, and are offering the NYD5K and #NYDHALFMARATHON for just $25! We'll have the same great course, music & an awesome Finisher Medal! Make sure you're registered, as we'll only be offering Finisher Medals for the first 250 participants (we ran out last year!). We'll have shirts as an additional purchase for $25 ($27 for half) during registration.
If you're not ready to be out & about, join us for the virtual 5K, OR virtual Half Marathon & we will ship you your swag (continental US only; lower 48 states)! Virtual participants will receive a Finisher Medal and shot at awards! Purchase your commemorative NYD 2025 shirt for just $25 during registration!
We'll start at 9:00 AM (8:50 for the Half Marathon).
We'll have a great flat course, Finisher Medals, and awards in the following categories:
Top 3 Overall M/F
Top 3 Masters M/F
Top 3 Grand Masters M/F
Top 3 Senior Masters M/F
& Top 3 in all the usual 5 year Age Groups 10 & Under through 80+!
Entry Fee & Registration
We're going to start the year the only way we know how; with an awesome 5K (and a new Half Marathon!) for just $25! The first 250 pre-registered participants are guaranteed a great finisher medal.

Race Day Registrations are welcome starting at 8:00 am for an additional $5.

Currently the event is capped at 400 participants...so register early!

Get excited, grab some friends and buddies to join you! Sign up, and register for the New Year's Day Virtual 5K!
Step 2
Download your Custom Digital Bib! Hydrate, grab your buddy (or not), and get ready to get moving!
Step 3
Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want. Please remember to social distance & be safe!
Step 4
HAVE FUN!~
Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route, and use the hashtag #NYD5K #fivestarntp
Step 5
Submit your results directly on RunSignUp.com through your Profile page.
You can submit your race time HERE on the Virtual Results page anytime from until end of day January 1st.

Five Star Turkey Trot & Championships

Event Courtesy & Refund Policy
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be immediately disqualified, asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
