Jamieson was a devoted public servant, a proud member of the U.S. Army National Guard, and a dedicated police officer in Cleveland, Ohio. He was known for his selfless service, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to protecting and uplifting his community. Tragically, Jamieson’s life was cut short in the line of duty on July 4, 2024. His loss has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who knew him.

In the wake of this tragedy, the Jamieson Ritter Foundation was created to carry forward the values Jamieson lived by—service, compassion, and community. The Foundation supports initiatives that reflect Jamieson’s passions, including scholarships, community safety programs, and outreach efforts that build bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Event Details:  

-       5K Run and Walk 

-       Gift Bags for participants including; certificates, koozies, cooling towels, snacks, water, and more! 

-       First 35 runners to sign up will receive a Jamieson Ritter Challenge commemorative coins!

-       Area with photo backdrops 

-       Medals awarded for 1st-3rd in all age group divisions for the 5K Run

-       Trophies for Male and Female 1st Overall for the Run and Walk

-       Fruit and Snacks 

-       Participants can stick around for the Dock Diving Event which will include additional raffles, vendors, and activities!

Registration Fees for each Category (Early & Late Fees & dates): 

March 2nd – April 2nd - $30 

April 3rd – May 29th    - $35 

May 30th (Race Day)  - $40

Open to all categories – anyone can register for any of the age group divisions above. Can compete with a companion (stroller or dog!). 

Teams can enter but will be awarded as individuals. 

Team Registrations:

Teams can enter but will be awarded as individuals. Team registrants will receive a 10% discount. Teams must consists of 5 or more people for the discount.

Divisions for the 5K Run

-       1-14 Male and Female 

-       15-19 Male and Female

-       20-29 Male and Female

-       30-39 Male and Female

-       40-49 Male and Female

-       50-59 Male and Female

-       60-69 Male and Female

-       70+ Male and Female 

Awards:  

-       Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd for each division in the 5K Run

-       Trophies for first male and first female finisher for the run and walk
