Start Times:  1st Heat starts at 8:00 am (multiple heats) 

                       2nd Heat starts at 8:30 am 

                       3rd Heat starts at 9:00 am 

                       4th Heat starts at 9:30 am

                       5th Heat starts at 10:00 am  (Just for the Fun Run and the Obstacle Course)

Event Details:

Run/Obstacle course/Paddle, Kayak or Canoe starting at Bogue Falaya Fitness, located at 319 E. Gibson Street and ending at The Bogue Falaya Park for jambalaya, beer, door prizes, and awards.

The Roux Ga Roux Run

The running portion of the race will start at Bogue Falaya Fitness with a 2 mile run through the scenic streets of historic downtown Covington and end at Bogue Falaya Park, where the obstacle course will then begin.

The Obstacle Course

The obstacle course will be set up with over 12 obstacles throughout Covington’s beautiful Bogue Falaya Park. The last obstacle will be located at the southeast end of the park where participants will then have the choice to navigate the waterways of the Bogue Falaya River via kayak, canoe or paddle board.

Kayak/Canoe/Paddle Board

From there, participants will begin to row downstream for over a quarter mile to the BFF buoy, circle the buoy, and return to The Bogue Falaya Park. Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards will be provided, please note on registration if you would like to provide your own. Teams have the option of using a 2 or 3 person canoe.
