Description

Brothers Keepers a 501 C3 organization is comprised of local volunteer, paid and retired Firefighters. The BKMC Trail Run will be benefitting the local Children’s Burn Camp entitled, Camp I’m Still Me. Camp I’m Still Me is a week long camp that is for children who are from the ages of 5-18 who have been burned. The camp allows those kids who have been affected via fire to just be kids again. It truly is a magical place.

 

Date & Starting Time:  Saturday, April 21 at Lake Bistineau State Park, Doyline, LA.

 

The 5K Trail Run will begin at 8:00am.

 

Registration:  Early Registration is $20 through March 16th,

$25.00 March 17th – April 20th,

Race day Registration is $30. 

 

REGISTER EARLY! No shirts guaranteed to late registrants, as T-Shirts are limited.

T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up:  Every pre-registered participant will receive an original “BKMC Trail Run” t-shirt.

Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum

Thursday, April 19th from noon- 6:30 p.m., &

Friday, April 20th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site starting at 7:00 a.m.

 

Phantom Runner: If you cannot be there, but still want to show your support sign up as a Phantom Runner. You will still receive a t-shirt.

 

Awards: Overall Male & Female finishers in the 5k will win an award.  Additionally, 1st place male and female finishers in the following age groups also win an award.

 

Age Groups:  19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

 

Post Party: Make sure to stick around after the race for awards, food, family activities, and the world famous BKMC Live Auction.

 

Special Note:  Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation! No dogs are allowed on the course.
